Maria Menounos and Rick Fox To Host Magenta Carpet

The NBA All Star game is in Hollywood this year. Stars, stars and more stars. Just the great setup to try something different if your the NBA. Heck the Lakers and Clippers on the road with the Grammy's in town before the All Star break and then the Oscars so the city is use to the stars. The NBA is going to roll out that "Magenta Carpet" for the weekend according to the good folks at Turner Sports.

To build anticipation to the 2011 NBA All Star Game in Los Angeles, NBA TV will present the T-Mobile Magenta Carpet at NBA All-Star 2011. This two-hour live special on Sunday, Feb. 20, starting at 5 p.m (ET), will feature players and celebrities walking the magenta carpet and participating in interviews with Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos and NBA TV analyst Rick Fox. In addition, actor and TV personality Nick Cannon will conduct interviews with players and celebrities from the main stage. Matt Winer will host alongside analysts Brent Barry, Chris Webber, Steve Smith and Dennis Scott. NBA.com will also feature an alternate camera angle of the event.

As we've told you were going to be all over All Star Weekend so the blog will be fat full and happy as will the Spotted gallery.

Were not mad for the NBA reaching out there and trying something different. Stars love Stars and some stars are just going to show up because it's a star studded event. Those non Spike Lee, Jack, Denzel and Samuel L Jackson's that you don't always see sitting courtside all the time may be the stars the NBA is shooting for. Well see how it goes. after all were reminded so much that sports is entertainment also so the power of both in one spot, Hollywood.
