Knicks could have members in All Star starting lineup for first time since 1992

Thanks to the Yankees falling in the playoffs, the Giants missing the playoffs and a general lack on interest in hockey, the Knicks are close to becoming the premiere team in NYC this winter and into spring.

The NBA all star voting has begun and the Knicks biggest star, Amare Stoudemire, is in the running to be a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Star team. The New York Post placed Stoudemire on it's cover more then a couple times this season, one of the most memorable was with a headline calling him "Amare God-a-mire". Well, that's not a gratuitous comparison at all.

If Stoudemire were to make the All-Star team he would be among players like Rajon Rondo, Lebron James (if he's not too cool this year), and Dwight Howard. A pretty epic starting line-up and one the Knicks haven't been a part of since 1992.
