J.R. Smith Will Dunk No More In Dunk Contest

First Dwight and now JR Smith has passed on the dunk contest.

Hmm no word from say Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan quickly come to mind but really the dunk contest isn't what it once was and in-game dunks will always be better because their not scripted and rehearsed a thousand times, they just happen on instinct which is what makes us go crazy and call, Tweet and Facebook about those dunks the moment they happen.

"Nah, I'm going to let somebody else do that one. Yeah, they got a few young guys." said Smith to Fanhouse,

Just take the best dunks up to the All-Star break play them on the jumbotron and TNT and have the fans text in the winner. The days of the top athletes caring about the dunk contest are gone and will never return, which is why all those 80's dunk contest will forever live as the greatest dunk contest of all-time.

By the way I suspect finishing 3rd in both of his previous dunk contest attempts (2005 and 2009) played no important role in Smith's decision to past, it shouldn't cause he's tied with those mentioned earlier for Best In-Game Dunks this season.

However the dunk contest will go on so what other young guns would you like to see in the dunk contest or who did we miss for the In-Game Dunks?
