Funny what a trade does to some relationships. When ex-teammates face each other there is usually some kind of acknowledge of respect or mutual love. Not the case between formoer teammates Marcin Gortat, now with Phoenix and Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic. The Magic pasted the Suns in front of a national television audience 11-88 this past Sunday. We according to the Orlando Sentinel this is the case.
Gortat was quoted saying...“We didn’t say to each other one word. We didn’t shake our hands, we didn’t talk to each other, we didn’t say anything. And that’s fine; at the end of the day he’s on a different team, I’m on a different team, and I’m a grown-ass man. I don’t need him any more.”
Well well that should sum it up right, nope, not without a comeback from Superman himself...“I knew he was going to shoot all jump-shots," Howard said. “Every day in practice, when gets the ball, it’s the first thing he does. Wherever he is. … His swag was on the building. He looked good, so I’m happy for him.”
Well Jeff Van Gundy talked about it on the broadcast about not showing love when you face your former team and I guess he missed this one.
