Lamar Odom talks about drugged out dad

Lamar Odom now has a reality show with his reality star wife.
And in keeping it real, he has to be candid about his not so happy childhood.

Klomar
Here's some quotes:
'I had my mother around until I was 12 years old when she passed away and after that my father wasn’t around.'

'I witnessed things that a 10-year-old definitely wasn’t supposed to see… It’s hard for me to speak up on it and get it through to Khloe because she grew up so different.'

Dwyane Wade's Movie Star Girlfriend Turns Nose Up at Reality Show

It's no secret that Dwyane Wade has been fraternizing with movie star Gabrielle Union. (Rumored to have started while he was married.)
Gabby and Wade

And Dwyane Wade works in Miami.

Two popular reality shows, featuring NBA WAGS are filmed in Miami: VH1's "Basketball Wives" and "The Real Housewives of Miami".

So it seems that those two franchises would love to get their hands on one of the wives from the Heat.
Earlier this week we told you that the VH1 show went after Chris Bosh's ex.

And in a proactive statement Gabrielle Union affirmed that she is not interested:

“I pay my own bills, first off, so I’ve never put myself in a position to have to be jackass or to have to sell myself down the river for a reality show. I was just raised a little differently and my situation is a lot different being that I have my own career, my own celebrity status on my own, independent, and before him. But, I don’t knock anybody’s hustle, it’s just not my path.”

And check this video from HipHollywood:

Chris Bosh's baby-mama will not be on "Basketball Wives"

According to TMZ, VH1's "Basketball Wives" franchise was looking to replace Royce Reed with...
Chris Bosh's baby-mama Allison Mathis.

And Bosh said NO! WAY!

Chris Bosh with Allison Mathis

We think Royce was getting cut simply because she wasn't as exicting this season. (It's true, when you're in love, you become boring.) In a recent interview Royce explained that she would return...among other things.

Well it looks like Royce dodged a reality show bullet...and her gravy train will continue...for now.

*Got luck!

Confirmed: Lamar and Khloe Kardashian Spin-Off Reality Show

As we reported days ago...this happened.

According to RyanSeacrest.com:

Lamar Odom and wife Khloe Kardashian will shoot their own reality series for Ryan Seacrest Productions.
"Khloé and Lamar," will begin shooting in early 2011.
Odom had mentioned recently that the spin-off was a possibility.
Lamar and his wife like being famous

And even though they will be shooting right in the middle of the season, Coach Jackson doesn't think it will be a distraction to Odom.

"Lamar usually doesn't get distracted by things that are outside (basketball)," Jackson said, before his Lakers faced the Suns on Wednesday. "I know the Kardashians will be very careful with what they do."

Odom spoke extensively on the subject before the game as well, and said that he'd had a discussion about the endeavor with Jackson and Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak. But ultimately, the decision was his.

"That's between us," Odom said, when asked for the details of what the team and he discussed. "I respect their opinions and what they have to say and how they feel; I should. But at the end of the day, we always talk about how this is life and we have decisions to make. The Lakers make decisions that they need to make, and Lamar does the same, and (everyone here) does. This is the life that we live, this is entertainment. Whether it's sports, reporting ... we're all in the industry, somehow some way."

Jackson seemed to agree and mentioned that in terms of players marketing themselves, the team really doesn't have much to say about it.

"Outside of those hours that we have (together), the time's theirs," Jackson said. "Our restrictions don't include whether they have another workout or activity, whether they have a trainer off-site -- these are things we're still dealing with in the NBA, what physical outside distractions they might have. But their career and possible extraneous things that could happen, then you'd say they can't do ads, they can't do commercials -- so where's it end?"

On Friday we told you US Weekly reported that Lamar Odom and his wife Klhoe Kardashian were set up to a reality show.

Lamar and wife
Well, Odom clarified:
"It's a decision," Odom said. "If I wanted to make a pitch to have one, I probably could but, I don't know. I'm busy."
"As of right now, I'm not sure. I'm pretty busy during the season. The decision hasn't been made."
"Should I do one, what do you think?" Odom asked a reporter. "They pay pretty well."

So, US Weekly wasn't necceasrily wrong...Lamar is known play it aloof.

Lamar Odom and wife to have reality show

Big surprise?
 I think not!
According to E! News:

Lamar and Khloe set to take over TV now
The youngest Kardashian sister and Odom, 31, will star in a E! series reminiscent of the Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey MTV show “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” — about their life as a couple.

“It shoots in the spring,” an insider told the celebrity magazine of the upcoming series starring the Los Angeles Lakers forward and the 26-year-old, who also appeared in “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.

“They’re so cute, playing off one another,” another source said of the pair, who married in September 2009.

They said like "Newlyweds"...didn't that couple break up after the show?
*Not a good idea...
