Who said love has to hurt?
Jennifer Freeman, star of the hit sit-com "My Wife and Kids," and her husband, Indiana Pacers point guard Earl Watson, are the latest celebrity couple to have reconciled, after Freeman allegedly attacked and bit Watson during a domestic dispute last week, according to news website TMZ.com.
Watson will reportedly withdraw the petition for divorce he filed after the late-night incident.
The alleged attack took place when Watson, 31, confronted Freeman at 11 p.m. Aug. 1 about suspicious text messages received on her cell phone, according to TMZ.
When Watson took her phone, Freeman, 24, lost her temper and slapped him "forcefully twice in the face with her right open hand ... grabbed (his) right wrist and bit ... breaking the skin, leaving teeth marks and drawing blood," according to papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court.
She then bit down on his chest, drawing blood again, and attempted to hit him with an iron, according to the documents, on which TMZ reported.
Watson managed to remove the iron from his wife's hands and quickly leave the scene, according to the documents.
It seemed they would be the latest celebrity couple break-up when the following day Watson headed to L.A. County Superior Court, where he filed for divorce while seeking full custody of the couple's 10-month-old daughter, Isabella Amour Watson, TMZ reported.
Watson has apparently had a change of heart, and the couple, who wed May 19, 2009, have gotten back together -- 11 days after the attack.
"The couple has reconciled their differences," Watson's attorney, William Briggs, said in a statement to TMZ.com, "and plan to make their marriage work."
Dang! They fight hard.
