Video: Dirk Nowitzki is "winning" ...and it's Bobblehead night.
Check this short spot of Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki dancing in the mirror.
Yup! That's a Charlie Sheen reference.
He must knew before it was announced that his boss (Mark Cuban) is trying to hire Charlie Sheen.

Cuban Speaks And He Has A Point...But

So the Hornets pulled off a trade today sending reserve shooting guard Marcus Thornton with suspect defense for Monty Williams' liking to Sacramento for Carl Landry and cash. Now we're just taking a stab at this but maybe it's because of the cash that has Cuban saying this...
“That’s just wrong. That’s just wrong. That’s just absolutely, positively wrong,’” Cuban said. “I’ll probably go against the grain from everybody else, but that is so far wrong that it’s not even close.
“There’s so few teams in the league that can afford to do that and yet we’re allowing a team that’s owned by the league to do that?”
“I don’t need to be competing economically with the league and myself,” Cuban said.
Now in the event you've been under a rock, the Hornets are owned by the NBA because they have not been able to find a buyer for the team that is willing to keep the team in the Big Easy.
While Cuban's comments have value you also have to understand that just because a team,-for the meantime- is owned by the league should not allow them to operate as any other team when it comes to wheeling and dealing. At the end of the day they are in it to win it. Maybe it's because they are in the same division as Cuban's Mavericks and how this trade really fills a need in the forecourt and on defense. All were saying is Cuban has nothing to say about how the Hornets have been without their star center Emeka Okafor the past 10 games and how that has effected the Hornets defense the last 10 games or so.

Dallas Owner Mark Cuban Tried To Recruit LeBron Via Text
Here's the story from NBA.com.
When LeBron James was the coveted free agent last summer, he got a few text messages from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban before making his decision to go to Miami.Sure he's sly. That's why we like him.
Before the Heat played in Dallas for the only time this season, James described Cuban as "a very sly guy" Saturday night.
"He wants to win, he wants best for his team," said James, who along with Dallas-born Chris Bosh joined Dwyane Wade in Miami.
Cuban said his texts to James and the player's business manager Maverick Carter had a simple message.
"When he was making his decision, what I told him, and I told Maverick, was that no team had ever blown up a team of all their core, then added a couple of free agents and won," Cuban said. "It's always taken someone to come into a good team to make it better and put them over the top. That's what I told him."

Mark Cuban: On the HEAT's slow start
According to Deadspin, Mark Cuban joined ESPN Radio Dallas with Ben and Skin to discuss his team's chemistry, why we've seen the Mavs dunk more this season, Colin Cowherd's argument against European players, Miami's tough start to the season and whether he believes Pacquiao/Mayweather will ever happen.
But we only care about what he said about the HEAT.
On the slow start for the Miami Heat:
"Hallelujah, boys, is that great or what? … How cool is that? Now, they could still turn it around and win out for all that matters, but you're starting to see some of the problems. Any team with a strong, big guy that can score, they're getting abused by. Paul Millsap goes out and pulls a Tracy McGrady. What, Tracy McGrady scored 13 and 30 and Paul Millsap scores 11 in 29 seconds or something like that? They just don't have size to battle. They have the fewest points in the paint of any team and that's tough. … My buddy Dan Gilbert is smiling all the way, too. Again, it's early in the season and you never quite know how it's going to play out, but how glorious."

Mark Cuban: LeBron Humiliated Cleveland
Finally! We love when Mark Cuban opens his mouth and gives his opinion. Damn the fines!

The Mavericks team owner commented LeBron James' moves this off season for the first time on Wednesday in an appearance on The Dunham and Miller Show on SportsRadio 1310 in Dallas.
"LeBron has every right to go wherever and do whatever, whatever team he wants to," Cuban said. "Going to the Heat was his choice, those guys working together. I don't even have a problem with the three of them working together, as long as they follow all of the NBA rules, which I think they did.
Where I think LeBron made a mistake, was in how he did it. I don’t even have a problem that he had the tv show. But it turned out to be the largest public humiliation in the history of sports. He humiliated the organization, he humiliated the state of Ohio , the city of Cleveland. All of a sudden he became a bad guy, he lost a billion dollars in brand equity, give or take a couple bucks here or there.
"I told his folks that I think he got bad advice. It’s not about 'Can he move?' He can move, he can play for any team. I think he picked the wrong team (chuckles). There’s a team in Dallas that could have used him and that would have been better served but it’s his choice. But the way he did it I thought was just a huge mistake."
