Video: Spotted: Allen Iverson with the SoSo Def Crew

Allen Iverson has been hanging out in his new home Atlanta a lot lately...
well, I guess when you're forced to retire prematurely...

Anyway, Jermaine Dupree and Da Brat recorded a remix od Chris Brown's "Look at me Now."

Check out Allen Iverson long cameo:

Iverson is fussy because they don't have his picture on the wall in the studio.

Look at him now...

Allen Iverson's fancy car impounded in Atlanta

We are disappointed that Allen Iverson isn't playing in the NBA anymore. (We're crossing our fingers that him being black listed will be lifted by next season.)

But the bad press from the weekend...may not help.

TMZ reports that Iverson was a passenger in 2009 silver lambo when the cops pulled the car over. The Atlanta PD snatched the vehicle and gave the "Answer" a ticket.

Iverson's car getting searched...nothing found but expired tags.

No worries, "The Answer" wasn't on the street for very long. The gossip website reports that his buddies cruised by in an even sweeter Rolls Royce to pick up the 35-year-old, 11 time All-Star, which goes to show that even when Iverson's caught "riding dirty," he always has a backup plan.

Allen Iverson says He Ain't Broke!

Just because he eats at TGIFridays, doesn't mean he's out of money.

Allen Iverson
Robert Huber of the Philadelphia Magazine traveled to Istanbul to see how Iverson was doing and ask him some questions that we all wanted to know the answer to:

On T.G.I. Friday’s. That’s where Iverson lands every night, for all of his first week in Istanbul.

I kid him about going to Friday’s in Istanbul, though he doesn’t seem to see it as teasing:

“Man, listen,” he says. “I didn’t know that the Philly cheesesteak wrap was that good when I was in Philly. I tried them when I got out here and every day since then. Every day since then!”

“Everybody is making a big deal out of the money and making $2 million — what do people want me to do? Sit at home and just watch basketball, or play at the YMCA? I had to do what I had to do to continue playing basketball.”

Ah, yes, two big issues there. First, whether he is broke — a guy who has pocketed some $200 million in salary and endorsements over the past 15 years. It would emerge a week or so later that Iverson- is selling some of his collected memorabilia on eBay, and a lot of people are saying he’s gambled and partied and supported hangers-on to the point of going through all that cash. But Iverson laughs softly, high up in the Besiktas stands:

“I would be a damn fool to blow that much money and have five kids to take care of. One thing I do have, and I can say, is that I do have money. A lot.”

I ask Iverson if he has a gambling problem.
“You find out when dealing with people that doesn’t have nowhere near as much money as you,” Iverson says, “that a lot of people who don’t have that money and can’t fathom it, would never understand. If I had that much to lose and I know it, then it’s not a problem for me.”

How about drinking? “Everybody I know, damn near, drinks. How is it a problem for me? I don’t remember getting any DUIs or going to jail for getting drunk in public.” Iverson laughs, because, really, are we talking about drinking? “I’ve never been reprimanded or anything, with any team or anything like that, because of any drinking.”

Iverson was candid, but seemed to come off pretty snappy.
This was good though.

*What'd you think?*

UPDATED: Iverson Grabbing His Ball And Going Home?

So all it took was 3 games and a 12.3ppg average and A.I. may be headed back to the States.

Iverson is upset with the chemistry between the club and it's fans with Besiktas and he's been catching flack from the locals according to this report.

Something tells us this isn't that much of a surprise.

UPDATED: Iverson uses Twitter to speak on rumors of his displeasure in Turkey with Besiktas.

Iverson via his Twitter page:

"What's up everybody? I want all of yall to know that I am very happy here in Istanbul. My family and I are making this our home. The Fans and my Teammates here are great, and we are building good chemistry. For those of you who care about me, just know that I am very pleased and enjoying this ride! God Bless"

Turkey Loves Allen Iverson

One thing's for sure...Allen Iverson felt the warm welcome when he arrived in Turkey yesterday.

Allen Iverson
It's like he's the Beattles. If this photo wasn't real, I'd think it was a shoe add.
Dozens of fans greeted the 11-time All-Star at Ataturk Airport. Sporting a Besiktas jersey and a Philadelphia Phillies hat, Iverson waved at fans from inside his car before being driven to his hotel.

And he got mobbed. Check the video:

And he did press...

Stephon Marbury
My question is "where is Stephon Marbury"?

A.I. Watch: Allen Iverson signed a deal

Just in case you were worried or wondering or concerned or...
Allen Iverson will play for Turkey this season.

Iverson
I hate that he got rejected from the association like that. Shut out Barry Bonds' style.

Here's the details on the deal:
Allen Iverson has agreed in principal to sign a two-year, $4 million contract with Besiktas of the Turkish professional league, according to a report by Yahoo! Sports.

The deal is expected to be filled with incentives.

Iverson plans to sign the deal this week and will report to Besiktas by Oct. 31.

The contract will give him an opt-out clause after this season.

We wonder if the incentives include practice?  (We just had to throw that in.)

Tweet: Starbury Wants Everyone to Play in China

...he got that hookup.

With the news that Allen Iverson may be considering going abroad to play, Stephon Marbury hit the twitter campagin.
S M tweet
I've heard from other players that play overseas that it does get lonely. So I understand. But, he doesn't have to and predict a definite lockout. Geesh Steph! That's pessimistic.
