Bay Area Fans Get Season Goals From Ownership+Monta Ellis' Tree

The Golden State Warriors ownership is letting their fans know their goals/expectations going into the the 2011-2012 season. If your not a season ticket holder I'd try to call and see if I could get in on the deal. Hey what is the deal, see below...

No doubt what the Warriors are about. They want to know their fans will see a winning product, all-star talent and contend in the NBA Playoffs. Not a bad deal but, oh heck no but but their seeking a head coach. SO letting the fans know their goals prior to naming a head coach is also letting the list of interest parties know as well. Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry, Dorrell Wright provide some pieces needed and many conclude Ellis is a NBA All-Star.

Even with this addition to his art collection....

Video: Thunder Fan wins $20k...again!

Should we move to Oklahoma City to increase our odds of winning the jackpot?
Check this video of a Thunder fan winning.

This is the second week in a row that a fan has won at this game at this arena!

Last weekend, Robert Yanders hit the halfcourt shot to win $20,000 from MidFirst Bank. And yesterday, as seen in the video above, Todd Lafferty became the second fan in a row to knock one down and win himself some serious scratch.

Fans: "Lets Beat The Heat" As Performed By A True Bulls Fan

This is why we love the fans!!!

Another fan moment here as these Bulls fans pull together hard for their Bulls to beat the Heat.

This is the classic example of how you take anger and channel it in a positive method and just being a true fan. No gore and blood, just stuffed animals and toy instruments. No flames coming from jersey's, just toys and action figures.

Now how will the celebrate a Bulls win?

Pistons new No. 1 fan might be Ndamukong Suh

Apparently Ndamukong Suh can't get enough losing.

The Detroit Lions rookie defensive tackle has become the Pistons' version of Jack Nicholson this season. Suh has been at nearly every Pistons home game this season, sitting in the courtside leather seats are place between the bench and the scorers table.

Suh's seats are on the visitor's end. In a Piston loss to the Lakers next week, Suh was seen chatting with Kobe Bryant during a period of garbage time.

For those interested in spotting Suh, he's not hard to miss. the 300-pounder is often wearing his Detroit Tigers hat.

Austin Daye challenges Piston fans to rhyme a word with orange

It may be November now, but Austin Daye didn't mind having fun with some fans with some October trivia.

Daye's latest video segment, posted on Pistons.com titled "Daye Walking"--based on the Tonight Show's "Jay Walking"--gave fans a chance to prove their smarts in front of an NBA player.

Like Jay Leno's version, Daye asks fans simple historical questions, and adds a bit of trickery (name a color that starts with orange).

And of course, like Leno's skit, the fans struggle just a tad bit. For anyone interested in watching the clip, it can be seen here.

Only 11 fans want free season tickets to Pistons games

It appears that adding Tracy McGrady to an already crowded back court wasn't enough to stimulate Pistons' fans senses this week.

The always witty and innovative Pistons marketing team put together another creative promotion entering the 2010-11 season, offering 50 fans free season tickets. All they had to do was head down to the Palace and audition on Wednesday, showing their team spirit and cheering prowess.

Considering the Pistons are facing an ownership change and a still-miserable Detroit economy, this seemed like a great way to raise excitement about a team that is always near the top of NBA attendance.

It didn't work.

According to Neal Rubin of The Detroit News, only 300 fans actually registered for the event, with 11yes, ELEVENpeople showing up. For a city that has almost always backed its teams through good and bad (see: Lions and Tigers) it's a wonder why no one would show up for this event, even considering the team missed the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade last season. Then again, the team did make attending all 41 regular season home games a requirement.

Either way, the Pistons are hoping for a mulligan on this one. On Friday, the team will offer fans a second chance to make the "Power Plant" cheering section before Detroit's final tune-up against Memphis. Or, as the Pistons are billing it, the "next round" of auditions.

As mentioned above, the team's marketing department has always been a cut above the rest. From the blue-collar "Going to Work" theme in 2004 to this year's DETermination (get it?) slogan, the Motor City's NBA squad has always caught the attention of its fans.

Now, it looks like fans are about as determined to support this season's campaign as Charlie Villanueva is to grab a rebound.
