Video: Down, Set, Hut Hut

We really don't know what made this happen but there is so much symmetery that can be attained by this.

The Celtics won the opening tip and well, just watch what the two All-Star snubs did...

"What are they doing, What was that" you may be asking yourself. Well it was Kevin Garnett snapping it to Rajon Rondo and Rondo inturn snaping it to himself and just like that the game had started. What do we make of this was this a way of honoring the Patriots or something. Well who knows but after you watch it 2 or 3 times if does feel like "aight let's get this thing started".

Too bad they didn't get that "pass interference" call (Kobe's obvious double dribble) in the overtime loss that was sealed by Pau Gasol blocking a last second field goal attempt.

KG's "Barfight" Interview Is Classic

Kevin Garnett has more passion, drive and intensity than many NBA players during his era. Well KG let it spew again during an interview after the Celtic's 27-point come-from-behind victory over the Magic...

Barfight? Well the first thing we tought of was a good ole barfight at The Boars Nest in Hazzard County. Those broke out all the time.

Oh and before we forget, Congradulations to Ray Allen also on the birth of his new baby. KG touched that as well.

KG Buys Stake in Roma

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has recently bought a small stake in the Italian soccer club Roma. Garnett received the offer from James Pallotta, who is one of the four Boston executives who signed a deal in August to become the first foreign majority owners of a Serie A club.

It is not a surprise that Garnett and Pallotta are working together, Pallotta is also a minority owner of the Celtics.

Garnett joins LeBron James in the European soccer world. James bought a small stake in Liverpool earlier this year.

Throwback Video: Fun Police

Yea KG has been with just about every shoe company that is still on the market today, but this Nike spot for Fun Police will always but in our library so why not share it.

We just thought it was on point since KG nailed that right elbow J to dump the Hornets on Saturday.

and any kid or pure fan would love this one. It's like being in an NBA city and the weather is bad and not fan fans came out so they tell the folks in the upper bowl to come down to the lower bowl after halftime.

Perkins Saluting KG By Wearing Number 5 in OKC?

The love and friendships does run deep in the NBA. The remaining Celtics didn't take the trading of Kendrick Perkins all that well.

With that Perkins is going to return the favor as best he can to at least to one the hardest working defensive player this league has seen. Perkins is now a member of the OKC Thunder and with his old jersey number 43 being available, word has it that he'll opt for jersey number 5 as a tribute/salute to former Celtic teammate Kevin Garnett. Now that's a helluva gesture, beneath the surface. If Perkins picked up anything from KG it will reflect in his game once he's on the floor and mentally comfortable with testing that knee. In someways he's showing that with his heart and respect for the elder statesmen who also arrive directly in the NBA via the high school ranks.

That Celtic bunch was a tight knit bunch!

KG's New Kicks Have A "Beat L.A." Theme

It's about that time of year. That time when the Celtics and Lakers are getting ready to square off in the regular season. It only happens twice a year so it's kind of doesn't fly under the radar being they've met in 2 of the last 3 Finals. They'll meet Sunday for round 1 in LA then on February 10th in Beantown for round 2. So with all of that Kevin Garnett had to go and get the shoes to fit the occasion and the Chinese shoe company, Anta, has outfitted him with the "Beat L.A." edition.

Anta goes all out with the all-time regular season record of the two storied franchises on the tongue which is led by the C's 152-120. For good measure they Celtics also lead the all time series in the playoffs 43-31 winning 9 of the 12 match-ups in The Finals. Seeing as KG has been with seemingly every shoe company in his career from Nike to And 1 to Adidas and maybe were missing one, this has to be the most creative pair . We know KG embraces the history of the game and these surely show that along with the emotion that KG brings!

Tweet: Shaq is like Fresh Bed Sheets

Sometimes you just don't know where Kevin Garnett’s head is at.

K.G.
 And sometimes you do.

on the Twitter account @KGtrashtalk.
he expresses his latest thoughts on teammate Shaquille O'Neal:

“Shaq is like paradise, man,” he said. “You ever wash your sheets and then go outside and hang them out, and the sun dries them? You ever smell the sheets?
That’s what Shaq is, Shaq is like...I don’t want to give any products any tags right now, but you know what I’m saying. For anybody who’s ever hung out clothes, they know what I mean.”
Uhhhh...

Video: Joakim Noah's Not feeling Kevin Garnett

You've probably heard the buzz...Joakim Noah ain't feeling K.G.
No biggie...he has no shame in expressing who and what he doesn't like.  (Remember last year he voiced his opinion about LeBron James' dancing on the sideline?)  Don't you kind of like him for that?

But anyway, here's the story about his radio interview. He called him 'mean and ugly'.

And here's the video:

What do you think? Was he calling him physically ugly or ugly on the inside?

Kevin Garnett, Doc Rivers mad that Charlie Villanueva is mad about cancer comments

According to Kevin Garnett, it’s not that he was dropping the cancer bomb on Charlie Villanueva because of his appearance.

Instead, he was referring to his play.

Garnett responded to Villanueva’s accusation that the Celtic called Charlie V a cancer patient during Boston's 109-86 win over Detroit on Tuesday.

"I am aware there was a major miscommunication regarding something I said on the court last night. My comment to Charlie Villanueva
was in fact: You are cancerous to your team and our league,” Garnett said.

Early Wednesday, Villanueva posted on Twitter that KG insulted him by calling him a cancer patient. Via Charlie V’s account, he posted:

“KG called me a cancer patient, I'm pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he's tossing it like it's a joke, I wouldn't even trip about that, but a cancer patient, I know way 2 many people who passed away from it, and I have a special place 4 those.”

Villanueva is hairless due to a condition called alopecia unversalis.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers decided to side with his own guy on this win. Rivers is bummed because, in his mind, insults involving cancer should be left on the court.

“Talking about what the guys said during the game, there isn’t a place,” Rivers said. “I don’t find a place for it.”

While CV isn’t exactly on the same level as a Kobe Bryant, calling him a team cancer might be a bit out of line as well. Furthermore, Villanueva has always been considered a character guy off the court. Even if the comments were taken out of context, they still seem a bit out of line. And for Rivers to be upset because they went public, well, he might be missing the bigger picture.
