Gilbert Arenas cuts off his babies' mother

We've reported over the months the drama between Gilbert Arenas and his babies' mother Laura Govan.
From the time he moved from Washington D.C. there has been report after report of how nasty their separation has been.

Gilbert Arenas and Laura Govan ...in happier times

The latest comes to us from a source at the Washington Post.

Laura never paid the moving company she hired to move her out of the D.C> area home in January 2011. She allegedly used Gilbert's credit card to finance the move. She put down a $50.00 deposit for the $25,000 move. Then Govan manually approved the charges once her items arrived to California end of January.
Gilbert wrote to the moving company in mid February that the two credit card charges Laura made to the company were fraudulent and he never approved them.

American Express refunded the money back to Gilbert, and Laura then changed the name on the contract--"to protect the privacy of the family"--to Laura Mendoza-Govan instead of Laura Arenas.

So JK Moving & Storage company is suing the both of them for breach of contract under both their names. (THEY JUST WANT THEIR MONEY!) They're demanding their full balance of $25,000+, plus interest and 40% of attorney fees.

The most interesting part of this court document is that the moving company claims Laura--who told them her name was "Laura Arenas"--said she and the kids were moving to California in order to build the dream life for them and Gilbert after his retirement.

Here's a link to the court document.

Gilbert Arenas was served papers during the game!

We've been keeping watch of the drama between Gilbert Arenas and his estranged fiance' Laura Govan.

Now Gilbert Arenas was served with child support and custody papers as he left the court during halftime of the Magic's loss to the Heat on Thursday night.

Arenas...upset?

The court documents were a California petition filed by Laura Mendoza Govan. She identified herself as his ex-girlfriend in the documents.

The petition seeks custody and child support for three children whom Govan says Arenas fathered and has since "financially cut off." She is also seeking support for an unborn child, as well as monthly support for the other children.

She is seeking $109,000 in monthly support payments from Arenas.

Arenas said he wasn't surprised by Govan serving him with the petition. He also disputed her claim that he hasn't supported her financially.

"I don't pay much attention to it because this is who she is as a person," he said. "It's sad that it has to be in the public's eye. She gets money. I mean when a girl asks for $100,000 a month and you say no, that doesn't mean you're cut off. You're still getting 20. ... That's the thing that bothers me. She tells the world that she's not getting money. She gets $20,000 a month."

Love: Gilbert Arenas Abandons Pregnant Fiance' and Their 3 Kids

After getting traded to the Orlando Magic, Gilbert apparently picked up and left with even saying goodbye. He left his mansion in VA and hit the road to Florida. Laura's rep (now she's repped by the same person as her "Basketball Wives" star sister Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes) says Gilbert has not spoken to Laura or the kids since Thanksgiving and has been avoiding doing so. And he has cut off all money to them. Even though Laura is several months along in her fourth pregnancy.

The Washington Post reports:

Govan, who is four months pregnant with their fourth child, "has not heard from Arenas the whole month of December," said publicist Laura Wright in an e-mailed statement. "Govan and the children feel like they have been abandoned."
Wright - who has worked for Govan's sister Gloria and her fiance, Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes - said that Govan was left at their Great Falls home "with no money to purchase food or Christmas gifts."
The breakup happened around Thanksgiving. Though he didn't reveal a relationship rift at the time, Arenas recently told reporters he had been staying with Wizards teammate Nick Young for about a month.

*But wait* There's more!
After his first game with the Magic a few days ago, Gilbert made it very public that he was moving on from his old life in D.C.

He told The Post after his Dec. 20 debut with the Magic that he was so eager to move that he bought a same-day ticket to Florida the minute he'd heard about the trade: "I went to the airport and left. I didn't have a chance to say bye to anybody. I didn't even say bye to the kids." (But Arenas also said that Washington would remain "in my heart" because "that's where I raised my kids and have my family.")

*Sigh* We'll keep you posted.
