You waited a few year before you came to the NBA and your having a heck of a rookie season and then you blow your ACL out in the closing moments of a game against a team your franchise hasn't beaten in anybody's recent memory. All the reason to sulk and moan right?
Nah not if you one Ricky Rubio. You know you have game and it's on the shelf with a months of rehab ahead of you but your still having fun and smiling about it.
Need proof? Check out Ricky whipping a cart in the nearest CVS.. well we don't kow if that's where he is but it sure looks like he's having fun and ready to make a return.
Are we not suppose to be figuring out where Carmen San Diego-remember her- was? Well in the NBA these days with the international flavor throughout the league you never know where you'll find a hooper or where they are.
Retaliation is such a touchy subject when it comes to sports. You have to know when you sometimes cross the line, and in the end, the one that does defend themselves well after a play is the one that gets fined or suspended.
Take Kevin Love for example. The Rockets and Timberwolves faced off twice last week, with a little controversy starting up on Monday. Luis Scola went right along the baseline trying to save a ball out of bounds. Love was right next to him as Scola did a basketball move to try and have the ball ricochet off his leg. Scola succeeded in getting Love, but it wasn’t in one of the more pleasant spots to be hit.
These two faced off again Saturday, this time in Minnesota. Love didn’t seem to forget, and had a chance to kick Scola while he was down (literally). Monday the NBA ruled Love’s play to be a Flagrant Two foul and resulted in a two game suspension effective Tuesday.
Love tells the media that the play on Scola was unintentional. Now, flashback to Thanksgiving day between the Packers and the Lions, where Ndamukong Suh had his way against Evan Dietrich-Smith. After smothering his face to the ground well after the whistle he claims to “regain his balance” by ramming his root to his upper body. Suh also received a two game suspension, even after trying to appeal the ruling.
