Courtside: Kim Kardashian and Charlize Theron

Over the weekend guess who we spotted on the sidelines of the NBA?

Kim Kardashian was seated next to Gabriel Aubrey...uh, yeah...Halle Berry's baby's father at the Lakers game last night.

Kim looks in his eyes...

Did you see that?
...well, we did?
What do you think?

And Charlize Theron was there too.

Amar'e Stoudemire gives Blake Griffin googley eyes

Stoudemire
The Clippers may have lost to the Knicks last night, but Blake Griffin sure did put up a beautiful dunk. So beautiful in fact that Amar'e Stoudemire gave him a knowing smile and nod when he was at the free throw line.

It's easier to appreciate another players hard work when your team is on a winning streak isn't it Amar'e?

Elementary school kids use poetry to diss Lebron James

Students from Wade Park Elementary
A group of students from the Wade Park elementary school in Cleveland, Ohio used poetry to tell Lebron James what they thought about him. They used his recent Nike Rise commercial for inspiration. By "they" I really mean their teachers because I have a hard time believing a group of 11 year old boys were angry enough with James to come up with some insulting poetry.

It's been almost 6 months since Lebron made his "decision" and if you thought the people of Cleveland would be over it by now, you'd be wrong.

Would you vote for Paul Millsap?

Paul Millsap is having his finest season yet for the Jazz. He is averaging career highs in points (20.6) and rebounds (9.1), and he also had a career high 46 points in the huge comeback win for the Jazz last week against the Miami Heat. He is arguably having an all-star season.

Yet this apparently doesn't seem to merit enough credibility to make the all-star ballot for this season. The ballots were released last week, and Millsap was not found among the 24 forwards in the West up for all-star considerations.

"This is still one of the things that I use to get over humps, to fight over adversity," Millsap said. "I use what other people say to my advantage....It kind of gives you a little extra (motivation), a little extra oomph about yourself, makes you want to go out there and show yourself."

He still has a good shot at making the squad, considering that the ballot is only to choose the starters for the squad, he still could make the team as a reserve. Still, this snub is a travesty given that players such as Mario Chalmers, Brendan Haywood, and Linas Kleiza were able to make the ballot

Ed Burns will cheer for the Nets if Isiah Thomas comes back to the Knicks

Ed Burns isn't a of Isiah Thomas.

The actor from "Saving Private Ryan" was born in Queens and grew up in Long Island. He's been a devoted Knicks fan since childhood, but according to the New York Post there is one thing that would make his dedication to the team come to an end. That thing is named Isiah Thomas.

Ed Burns Twitter
Burns made it clear that if Thomas was brought back into the Knicks organization he would have no trouble switching out his Knicks gear for the New Jersey Nets.

According to Burns it has nothing to do with not wanting to cheer for a losing team. "..it’s one thing to root for a losing team, but it’s another to do so and not like the team.”

The anti-Thomas sentiment isn't a strange one for most Knicks fan.  Earlier this fall when Thomas told ESPN he believed if given the opportunity he could have swayed Lebron James to come to the Knicks, New York fans were quick to call Thomas delusional and desperate. In the same interview he claimed he dreamed of replacing Donnie Walsh and bringing New York a championship in 2014.

When Isiah Thomas was headcoach of the Knicks the team tied the franchise record of 59 losses in a single season.

Oden Out For Season...Again

You just kind of feel sorry for Greg Oden. I mean heck he's only played 82 games...in 4 seasons.

Well the news came down tonight that he will be out the rest of this season, in which he has yet to play, with microfracture knee surgery.

For the Trailblazers it's so easy to think of the Sam Bowie stuff especially with what Kevin Durant is doing these days but that's just how it is, especially when your body just isn't there. I'm with Nate "things happen".

I wish the young man all the best on a speedy and healthy recovery but the real hit of reality is that the Blazers don't have to pick up his option at the end of this season and without the solid foundation laid it may mean he has to have one heck of an agent. Yet let's be real he's going to get another shot because his story is that sad and if Darko is still in the league why shouldn't he be.

Get well Greg!

This Weeks Date in NBA History: Drexler Scores 20K For Career

Don't tell me you didn't know that Cylde could fly, ok "Gylde" while on the hoops court. Yea he's another example of a guy that didn't win a title when MJ was running the hardwood in the 90's, (Karl, Reggie, 'Nique, GP, Kemp, Stockton, Sir Charles, Ewing...you get the point) yet did take MJ as far as he could go in '92, well one game short for you technical people out there.

Yes he did have to return to his college roots to win that title in '95 which was the second striaght for Houston, thanks to Nick Anderson's failed free throw attempts but nonetheless a title is a title, you can't take it from him. While in a Rockets uniform on November 24th 1996 Cylde scored his 20,000th point as a NBA pro. At the time he was the 24th player to do so and finished with 22,195 career points.

Just don't let those greats go unnoticed cause Cylde is a great. Original Dream Team member, has a ring and got the Hall of Fame induction to boot. Oh and he lead some damn good teams in Portland also.

Congrats Drex but um no more dancing just "gylding" ok.

UPDATE: Tony Parker and Eva Longoria Splitting

Huh? Didn't see this coming or maybe so. As always you hear stuff but this one kind of makes you shake your head.

The word is Longoria filed the paperwork this morning in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences and submitted a name change. Sounds pretty serious with a number of text messages being found by Eva from another Spurs players' wife in Tony's phone. Come on TP do you know how many of us would....

Seemed like that fairy tale marriage but 3 years in it looks to be coming to an end . We hate to hear this but we wish them the best.

UPDATE:

SI reports from @BryanAGraham Brent Barry’s wife Erin Berry is the one who Tony Parker was sending texts to and alleged had an affair with.
According to the sources now Brent and his wife could be heading toward divorce court.

Former Knick claims D'Antoni's job is on the line

Stephon Marbury
Stephon Marbury isn't being shy about his feelings towards Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni. Marbury played for the Knicks from 2004-2009. Growing up in Brooklyn, NY Marbury was raised a Knicks fan and still feels more like a fan of the team than a former player. Now that Marbury is playing in China for the Brave Dragons he has no problem coming out and speaking about his disappoint in the teams 3-7 start.

According to the New York Post Marbury blames coach D'Antoni:

"It's just a matter of time,'' Marbury said. "That's all I got to stay about D'Antoni's situation. I don't pay attention to his coaching. It hasn't changed since he won 50 games or since all the how many games he's lost here. If he had different pieces, he's a very effective coach. But without any players that play with the realm of how he coaches the game, it will never be."

While Marbury does come off as a bitter former player, he makes some valid points. This season was suppose to be a different one for New York. Losing 5 games in a row against teams that were "suppose" to be weaker opponents is not what fans had in mind. New Knick Amare Stoudemire has come out and blasted his team for their poor performance and lack of effort. It's never a good sign when players start turning on each other and it's often a result of a coaches lack of control.

Whether or not Marbury's claims of D'Antoni's looming unemployment is true, the PR damage has been done.
