Shane told Fanhouse's Chris Tomasson...
"I've always loved to teach,'' Battier said in an interview with FanHouse about what he might do after basketball. "I could see myself as a teacher helping young people in some capacity. ... I've always thought about teaching a life skills class. There's so much common sense that kids never learn these days, like how to balance a checkbook, how to look over a mortgage agreement or an auto lease. ... Teach them skills that would really make a difference in their lives.''

Do we agree with him or what. What has happen to common sense these days in our youth! The only thing is if he does teach, high school is his preference, how in the heck is he going to be able to teach without having to field the questions about helping the basketball team out? You know it's going to happen it has to. From a multitasking standpoint maybe he can dabble with the coaching while he's teaching, heck he got a 3.5 at Duke that's not too much for him to handle.
Good Stuff Shane, wait can we call you Shane once your in the classroom? "If I get the teaching degree, I'll be Mr. Battier,'' he said. Ok ok sorry about that Mr. Battier.
